The distinctive wrinkles of whole hides emerge through multiple stages of chrome tanning and several rounds in the barrel. Aniline dyes are used during the dyeing process to maintain a completely natural appearance, preserving the grain before any refinements, concluding with the application of a water-resistant finish to the leather.
